Systemic Perspective
- Children and young people’s behaviour can be best understood from within its social context (Campbell, Draper and Huffington, 1989)
- Interventions which improve protective factors (strengths), reduce the risks (needs) in each domain and strengthens the relationships between the domains, are considered to be most effective (Youth Justice Board 2001, Farrington 1996)
