What Is The Necessary Criteria For A Referral
There are certain criteria which cases must fulfil before they can be referred to the Youth Conference Service.
Firstly, the offence has to have been committed in Northern Ireland on or after 1st December 2003, and the young person must also reside in Northern Ireland.
The child must plead guilty or be found guilty and he/she must also consent to the Youth Conference.
The child must also be between the ages of 10 and 17 in order to be referred to us.
